Bob Marley's Star in the Hollywood Walk Of fame: Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley was native Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician. Bob and his band, the Wailers, were known world wide for their music and for their following of Rastafarian movement. His mother was 18 when she married her husband, who was a much older man, of English decent. Bob fathered 11 children altogether. Bob Marley had many big hits, The compilation album Legend (1984), released three years after his death, is reggae's best-selling album, being 10 times Platinum (Diamond) in the U.S., and selling 20 million copies worldwide. His legend still lives on in his music. Here is one of my favorites from him - No woman no cry:

Okay, so how about we concentrate on American Artists from the States now? Faith Hill: Faith Hill -(born Audrey Faith Perry; September 21, 1967), is a country singer who has sold over 40 million records world wide. She is married to fellow country star Tim McGraw. She was adopted as an infant by a couple who lived just outside of Mississippi, and raised in a devout Christian home. Her debut single was 'take me as I am' from the same named album. This one is called 'wild one': (this song holds personal memories for me, guitar in hand, sitting outside on the front steps in a house in the UK, singing to a group of friends).

Bruce Springsteen: Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949), nicknamed "The Boss", is an American singer-songwriter who records and tours with the E Street Band. He is one of my favorite singer/song writers. His most successful studio albums, Born to Run and Born in the U.S.A., showcase a talent for finding grandeur in the struggles of daily American life; he has sold more than 65 million albums in the United States and 120 million worldwide and he has earned numerous awards for his work, including 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award. Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known as J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, record producer, dancer, television personality, fashion designer, and television producer. Although of Puerto Rican ancestry, she was born in the Bronx, NYC. To begin with her parents looked down on her career, but she persevered and proved to them that it was the right choice for her. With dedication, hard work and talent, she is now one of the top female musical artists in the world. Just one song by her: Jennifer Lopez - If You Had My Love

Diana Ross has to be one of my favorites female musical artists. Born in Detroit, Michigan, in the month of March, 1944 she has been declared as the most successful female artist of all time. Her mother was a school teacher and her father was in the US military. She started her career as lead singer of the Motown group 'The Supremes' and then began her solo career after leaving the group in 1970. So many Diana Ross songs that I simply adore. And here is just one of them: Diana Ross - Do You Know

That's a good one, hyper. If anyone else would like to have a go at presenting a musical artist - please do so.

Tina Turner: This gusty lady, has had quite the life. Another favorite of mine, Tina was born Anna Mae Bullock; in November 26, 1939. In a small town called Nutbush, in Tennessee. She started out her music career with husband Ike Turner as a member of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. I read her book called 'I Tina", and here she tells of her life from the beginning and of the years she spend with Ike Turner, an abusive psychopath. They have four sons together. She eventually left that marriage and became a very successful international solo star. Her album 'private dancer', realized in June 1984 sold as much as 11 million copies world wide. Many of her songs on that album were based on real her life. Here she is preforming live, Proud Mary: In her younger years: and in 2009:(the magic!)
