Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and pretty much anything by Abba. Also Don McLean's American Pie. I love Queen but the other two.. Yep I agree.. but I'd add in Harry Chapin's Taxi and Cats in the Cradle

I like Abba and Queen as well But not all their songs by any means. I find most Rap songs to be annoying. And just plain pointless. I don't like any kind of "House" music either.

I like just about every musical genre except for rap! Same here I have classical, Blues, Jazz, Country, Irish, Blue Grass and Rock Albums and CD's. But to me Rap is just foul language.

This is easy for me I hate "American Pie" and I hate "Cat's In the Cradle" two worst songs ever. I dunno which one I hate more they are equally bad. As for ABBA they say "Dancing Queen" is a very hard song to sing because the notes go way up and then way down low. I like 1980's music in general. I liked Blondie, Laura Brannigan, Kim Carnes, Juice Newton, brings back great memories for me.

I like Miley's voice, but find her uninteresting otherwise.

The two most annoying songs IMO are Joe Dolce - Shuddupaya You Face and
Middle of the Road - Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep
And almost anything by the Beatles, Paul McCartney or John Lennon I find insufferable. Perhaps particularly 'Imagine' which displays the rankest kind of hypocrisy with one of the wealthiest men in the world asking people to 'imagine no possessions.'

There is one.. I don't know the name but it's an instrumental with some woman moaning and groaning making love. God it's just stupid.

The Beatles rock!(pun intended) Most of their songs are like bad pub songs or updated versions of George Formby. Their better ones were stolen from more talented artists (Bob Dylan for instance was scathing about their thefts from him).

I never liked them even when I was young. They were so obviously fake and derivative.

I never liked them even when I was young. They were so obviously fake and derivative. I think they admit to taking their inspiration from previous artists and styles. But they did get pretty innovative in later years, imo They stole from black American artists; they copied the Yardbirds, Dylan and various other people. The only 'innovative' stuff they produced (if you wish to dignify the tuneless dirges on Revolver and Sergeant Pepper with the label of 'innovation') was dire and pretentious. Dylan, Ray Davis and other far more talented songwriters had nothing but contempt for their plagiarism and lack of musical talent.

For Christmas I hate the "Drummer Boy" song- it's played way too much. The songs of the 1950's are so over played that I'm sick of them, not a big fan of 60's music either, but there are a few good 60's songs here are there. There are some good songs from the big band era but the recordings of them don't do the music justice, music recording was not that great back then. My favorites are mostly from the early 1980's but the 70's had some good music --and as the 1970's came to a close the music started to take on an 80's taste. Anything past the 80's is not for me (other than Shania Twain in the 1990's) all this modern music is beyond me 2000's and over.

What I remember most from the late 1970's was the talk of quad stereo, radio stations boasted about it and it was supposed to be the new greatest thing in music,'round about 1978 & 1979-- and then as fast as quad music hit the scene it was gone, by 1980 quad fizzled out.
Some people say how can ya get true quad sound when a record needle has only two sides of the record groove to run on? Ok for stereo~ but quad? Then there was the old standby:"If god had wanted us to listen in quad, he would of given us 4 ears"- how can we hear true quad with two ears? I guess the new record players that were supposed to play quad were very expensive too.
