Black Betty had a child (Bam-ba-lam) Damn thing gone wild (Bam-ba-lam) Tom Jones! I didn't think many people were familiar with Jones' version. It was pretty good. Of course Ram Jam's version is classic. Young people today are watching it for the first time and giving it rave reviews on YouTube videos. |

Black Betty was a one hit wonder. I have seen the reviews on Youtube too, foxy,! What I find interesting is that black people really like the song ( on the whole). I did wonder if some might find it a bit racially charged or something, but that was not the case. Most really enjoyed it when they heard it for the first time. |
