I knew very little about the current Mayor of New York City. Having looked into his views, I am convinced that he is not a real Christian, at least in practice. That being said, I actually believe God could have appeared to him and said he would lead New York City, and that he should proclaim his Christian faith publicly. Adams could have used his office to lead righteously, but as a Democrat, that would take courage, more than he seems to have. He has come out as standing up for abortion and the LGBTQ agenda. Those are not Christian positions.
I figure he is either using his supposed Christian faith to change the minds of believers to where they accept this wickedness, or God really called him and appointed him, but he is refusing to do right. Remember that God also hand-picked Saul to be King over Israel. He also raised up Pharaoh to lead Egypt during the days of Moses, in order to show His power. My feeling is the left is content to ignore the fact he says God talked to him since he is a liberal Democrat, because they ignore such things when it involves a liberal and attack such things when it is a conservative. If it was a conservative, they would be shouting about separation of church and state and saying the guy was insane for saying God spoke to him.

The pot calling the kettle black. lol Hardly. You listened to one too many Rush Limbaugh shows. And as a white female, you really need to relax yourself with calling someone a victim for opposing REAL injustice instead of the imaginary injustices claimed by entitled whites.

If you believe in reparations, you believe you are a victim. Besides, I've been robbed 3 times by black men, so I've paid anything I owe. BTW, I never listened to Rush Limbaugh. We're off topic so can we get back to what this thread is about?

We're off topic so can we get back to what this thread is about? Bullshit. And I've been robbed for 62 years by a government based on white racial preference. The case for reparations is against the governments of this nation. Only the ignorant keep arguing about what they are going to pay. That's the victim argument. Reparations are owed, that's just the way it is. Others have recieved reparations for things occurring in the 1800's and descendants of confederate soliders received reparations until at least 2017. So stay on topic before you get embarrassed because like the rest of the right wingers you don't know what you're talking about and you talk out of your backside. Unless there is a person alive today that was around before the civil war ended and was a slave, nobody is entitled to reparations. There are no American slave owners alive today. By the way, I need to see something to prove your claims about reparations going to sons of confederate soldiers and an explanation of who paid them and why.

I’m not going to indulge you by arguing with you,@im2. I could be angry with the people that robbed me, but I’ve let it go and forgiven them. Whoever it is you’re angry with, forgiveness will free you up to move on and let it go.
"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love." Martin Luther King, Jr.

I went online to ask if it was true reparations were being paid to descendants of confederate soldiers, and this is the answer I got.
"No, that is not true. There were no federal reparations paid to descendants of Confederate soldiers in 2017 or at any time. The Confederacy was a group of states that seceded from the United States and fought against the union during the civil war, which lasted from 1861 to 1865. After the war, there were some efforts to provide land or other forms of compensation to formerly enslaved people, but these efforts were largely abandoned, and no reparations were paid to anyone for their association with the Confederacy."
