I think the Bible also talks about "vain strivings". Where we get bogged down in points of Doctrine. It is good to discuss, work through and try to understand Doctrine. But, ultimately we don't know everything or the mind of God. The Bible is a guide but it doesn't answer everything.

There seems to be an" age of accountability"in the Bible. Babies don't sin. They are born of the nature to sin. Those are 2 different but compatible concepts. There is some notion of an" age of accountability" but that's not explicit. Jewish custom is age 13. There are passages indicating the innocence of children and that they go to Heaven The Roman Catholic view is that baptism is necessary for salvation and that it frees the recipient from original sin. Ergo, children are born sinners. The Church of Rome isn't a Christian church. Catholicism is a pagan cult full of blasphemy and heresy. And the Bishop of Rome is the AntiChrist - one of his titles 'Vicarius FIlli Dei' adds up to 666 - the number of the Beast.

Babies are God's children and I believe they will go to heaven. Although I've never studied this issue, it just makes sense that babies don't know right from wrong and can't be condemned for something their brains are not developed enough to understand. John 1:9 says "That was the true Light [Jesus], which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." Foxy explains it very eloquently and I wouldn't argue with her.

IF one believes in Heaven and God, why wouldn't they? Just throwing this out there for thought and discussion. Answer to your question: Why they wouldn't be is because a person's (babies) entrance into the kingdom does not rely on anyone else's belief. That said, babies do go to Heaven, IMO. For those that believe in god and heaven will believe that babies go there (especially if they have lost one) because belief is a coping mechanism. To cope people believe in God and Heaven so that way loved ones are not truly gone.

I was just making known as to what the Bible states, which is not very much at all. That said, I have an understanding of my god, and faith in that belief, I have to believe babies go to Heaven. Which is all I stated.

We inherited sin & death through our first parents, Adam & Eve. That includes babies. The only way babies are considered for a resurrection is through 'us', it's parents.
“Through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.”(Romans 5:12)
Just my 2 cents.

You're forgetting about the spirit @naz. The spirit is eternal.

When it comes to the immortal spirit, does it really matter how young or old a physical body was at the time of death on Earth? The body is just the temporary house we lived in. Is a spirit that departed from a blind, senile and decrepit old person diminished throughout its eternal existence? Whether time spent in our physical bodies is long or short, we are vibrantly healthy or deformed and weak, beautiful or ugly, none of that matters in Heaven where there is no more sickness, sorrow or death. When our spirits are reunited with our flesh we are told we will have glorified bodies like the Lords.

Yes, the Bible teaches that we are all born sinners with sinful, selfish natures. Unless we are born again by the Spirit of God, we will never see the kingdom of God. Before we were saved,“we were by nature deserving of wrath”(Ephesians 2:3). Note that we deserved God’s wrath not only because of our actions but because of our nature. That nature is what we inherited from Adam. So no, fetuses don't go to heaven. Is this your actual belief? I assumed you might be an atheist. Not sure why. No this is not my actual belief, I was just interested in how this belief has morphed to a more acceptable version.

You're forgetting about the spirit @naz . The spirit is eternal. Well I can agree with that. But are you saying the spirit of the baby is a fully mature human one? Why does it have to be "fully mature"? More BS from you

I'm enjoying the thoughtful exchange here. Respectful questions are a great way of looking for truth. Confusion and disunity in the Christian community comes mostly from the diverse training we received by leaders in our respective denominations. Whenever attempting to find the truth, we must get it right from the source and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide us. Keep in mind Scripture always backs up Scripture, a verse taken out of context can lead to confusion and false doctrine being preached.
