Back to the original question. Do you not think a President that cried talking about a spouse serving in the Military is a sign of weakness. The said spouse is not injured and not dead simply serving overseas like thousands of others.

You're just 'digging deep' on this.

Crying over your spouse going overseas? I mean what the hell? Has he never been away before? She can feel sad if she wants to, but a Leader crying over this in public? No I don't think so.

That was my feeling. Yes I'm sure she worries and misses him but he is Africa, not exactly a hot spot. Dangerous yes but it just felt as if the whole thing was staged to make her look sympathetic

I am now thinking of other female World Leaders, how strong they were, never shed a tear in the toughest of times.
Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi...

What is she playing at? Who is she trying win over by her fake tears? I'm pretty sure she lost followers and respect, by trying that sh!t on.

Even the Queen, overall I think the idea that crying is a weakness has softened. However, as a woman I think it best not to. You will be roasted for it.

My one rule was never let them see you cry and no matter how bad it got for me as a female trying to get ahead in a male dominated career, I never did cry. I just don't see it as a sign of strength. It's personal.

I truly do not see an American woman who would be as capable at running the country as the two women you just mentioned. Although the men aren't doing much better at this point.

I just think using a political platform to cry on is just not the thing to do. Male or female, doesn't really matter. We expect a certain standard and strength from our Leaders and this kind of behaviour is alarming. We want leaders we can rely on, lean on. With strength. It is one occupation that really does require it. Did she lose someone close to her? No. Her spouse, like thousands of ours, is away, for a while. By crying about this, just makes her look like a spoiled woman, who has not ever experienced any real hardships before. And she wants people to trust in her judgement, her strength in face of many disasters that could occur?

It's personal. I understand what you mean. You know I had to learn to cry? As a child I wouldn't cry, nor into my adulthood. I had a really tough childhood. I actually had to make the effort to learn to cry, and yes, to learn to feel.

Well it spurred me onto writing a book. And in a way it was very cathartic putting all down in writing.
It helped a great deal.
