Nothing too exciting happened. I did watch it though. I liked the 'Jokers' speech.
I am getting a little tired of the "poor me" stance from women at the Oscars. They mean well, but this comes from privileged women who have millions of dollars.
I guess once you get to that point, you do start to ask yourself -"And now what?". So I guess if these rich and famous and extremely privileged folk want to champion causes they can go ahead. The rest of us are just busy surviving.

Seems to have got very political, I mean movies are a kind of escape from all the political stuff or should be? A time to relax, I don't think folk watch movies for politics really? It is more to escape from all that sort of stuff imo. Maybe that's why less folk are watching? Folk want to be entertained not lectured?
I preferred it before all the political stuff came into it!

www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51451904The US live TV audience for the Oscars fell to an all-time low on Sunday. Roughly 23.6 million viewers tuned into the awards ceremony, according to the US broadcaster ABC, citing Nielsen. The ratings fell sharply from last year when 29.5 million people watched, amid an industry-wide decline in linear TV viewing.
