I haven't gone to the movies in years. Got tired of $40 popcorn. I think covid is the final blow but things have been trending that way for decades with alternatives for consumers such as on demand, renting movies, streaming services, etc.

I love going to the movies
Popcorn is NOT and has NEVER been $40
We get free refills
It's a welcome escape from reality

Regal was one of the best, This is the result of closing everything down. AMC is also about to close. I guess new movies are not being made either. The way things are going now- when the virus is gone there will be no more theaters around. I think Regal was the top of the line for movie theaters. Maybe after the virus something else will come about to fill the void. It'll be a risky business to start, you never know when a virus will come around and put you out of business- they may even start to close down things for the yearly flu in the future, since the yearly flu kills 50,000 or more a year that a shutdown can avoid.

The report that we heard hinted at the possibility that theatres might reopen
I'll go to support them
