Climate scientist says total climate breakdown is now inevitable:'It is already a different world out there, soon it will be unrecognizable to every one of us' Record-breaking heatwaves, lethal flooding, and extreme weather events are just the beginning of the climate crisis, according to a leading UK climate scientist. In his new book published Thursday,"Hothouse Earth: An Inhabitant's Guide," Bill McGuire argues that, after years of ignoring warnings from scientists, it is too late to avoid the catastrophic impacts of climate change. The University College London Earth sciences professor pointed to a record-breaking heatwave across the UK this month and dangerous wildfires that destroyed 16 homes in East London as evidence of the rapidly changing climate. McGuire says weather will begin to regularly surpass current extremes, despite government goals to lower carbon emissions. "And as we head further into 2022, it is already a different world out there," McGuire told The Guardian."Soon it will be unrecognizable to every one of us." His perspective — that severe climate change is now inevitable and irreversible — is more extreme than many scientists who believe that, with lowered emissions, the most severe potential impacts can still be avoided. www.yahoo.com/news/climate-scientist-says-total-climate-042317772.html

I will believe it when I see it. Based on scientists, cities in America should have been under water years ago. Everything they have predicted has been wrong.

Beautiful sunny day here today, light winds with everything growing nicely after a couple days of light rain. The passion flower vines are getting ready to bloom just west of the house.

Me thinks they blame everything on climate change . If it snows in winter , OH its climate change If it rains , OH its climate change . IF we have fires , ITS climate change . IF we have a heatwave in summer , OH its climate change Rather odd that back in the seventies these folks were talking about an ice age , THEN it warmed up . If you suddenly die , CLIMATE change . If women have a pre mature birth , OH its climate change . Whats next , if i go out in the sun and get a sunburn , OH its climate change .

"Science" back in the 90's said the oceans are rising at an alarming rate and there is no turning back. So based on that "irreversible science fact"(that was shoved down our throats, kinda like today) I bought a home at a safe elevated level. Dammit... I was promised I'd have oceanfront property by now! HEY SCIENCE... I WANT MY FREAKIN' OCEANFRONT PROPERTY YOU PROMISED!!!

I'm still willing to take ocean front property off the hands of all the rich liberals (at pennies on the dollar of course) before their land is underwater. Still no takers though.

Oh, the east coast and west coast liberals are already taken care of. They got hazard insurance subsidized by the federal government down to pennies on the dollar cost from insurance companies. But beginning October 1, oceanfront properties should see those federal subsidies begin to disappear in a nationwide experiment in trying to adapt to climate change, which includes forcing oceanfront landowners to pay closer to the real cost of their flood risk. But I wouldn't put it past Democrats to shelve the high cost increases along the entire west coast (all Blue states) and states from Virginia to Maine on the east coast, which are also all Blue states.

As a charter member of the 'Inland Property Owners Association', I was expecting more property sales due to the coastal inhabitants fleeing in droves from the rising seas. It's been 25/35 years of dire flooding predictions and...nothing. Most of our sales have been to regular retirees fleeing from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. They don't seem to be fleeing from rising water.

A pack of lies. Extreme weather has always happened and for what it is worth I remember the 1976 heat wave well that lasted for months.
The Great Barrier Reef has never been so healthy; the ice in Antarctica is increasing.
Yet still the liars push their message of doom.
