Priscilla Presley Preps for a Fight Over Lisa Marie’s Trust Which Puts Her at Odds With Granddaughter Riley KeoughLisa Marie Presley passed away just over two weeks ago, and it looks like her family is gearing up for a fight over her estate. The legal battle that seems to be forming is going to pit grandmother Priscilla Presley against granddaughter Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s oldest child. According to TMZ, Priscilla has already filed legal documents contesting that she and Lisa Marie’s former business manager, Barry Siegel, are no longer trustees to her daughter’s estate. Apparently, there was an amendment made to the trust, and Riley and her late brother, Benjamin Keough, are the trustees now. Priscilla believes that Lisa Marie’s signature was forged in the amendment, noting that it “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature.” What makes this situation even more tricky is that Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020, is no longer here to back Riley’s claims that she was made a trustee. Siegel has also been long gone from Lisa Marie’s business dealings since he was instrumental in her losing her $100 million inheritance from father Elvis Presley’s estate. Priscilla doesn’t have him to lean on for backup that she should be the trustee either. Let’s just call as we see it — this is going to get very messy. Priscilla is asking that the amendment is declared null and void, which would take away Riley’s power as a trustee. The move feels very personal given the fact that they both lost a loved one so near and dear to them just over two weeks ago. www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/2709836/priscilla-presley-lisa-marie-will-legal-fight/

Well, I mean wouldn't the estate go to her children naturally anyway? Seems to me that is the usual order of things. And the oldest child is often the one to make decisions since she is an adult.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Why would Pricilla still want control over it? Maybe that was an issue when Lisa Marie was alive as well, she was well adult enough to take on the Estate of her father herself. Why was Pricilla still trying to do everything?
The grandma needs to back off. It's no longer her problem.

One thing is who will be raising the minor daughters? If she is, then yes she would need to make sure there are funds for them. But if not, it was her daughter's money and I would want my money to go to my children as I think most people would and that is generally the law.

Don't really know much about the father? I just said if she is raising them then the money would be a concern

I am thinking maybe the father would take the minor girls? Or maybe the older daughter will take care of them. If the father(s) are taking the minor girls, I'll bet you anything the fight for Elvis' Estate will get even nastier. They will also want a cut for their daughters. Mind you, I did hear that Lisa Marie was in debt, she had lost everything a while back and owed millions. Doesn't mean that the Estate can't still be a money maker though, it can. But it all depends on who is in charge and how they handle things from now on.

I think Lisa Marie was the owner of Graceland and she had 100% control of it. She apparently blew thru other monies but that estate is still worth millions so no doubt something to fight over.

Yes, Graceland is important, so they will fight over that no doubt.
Pricilla opened the doors to it for the public when she was about to lose it. It started making money and did really well. but now they might end up losing it anyway.

Didn't the woman have a will? Reminds me of what happened when James Brown died

Well Lisa Marie apparently had the terms of the Trust (that controls Elvis' estate) changed without letting her mother, Priscilla know. Priscilla is now saying that Lisa Marie's signature was forged and if she can prove that in court than the Trust will be in her control again. Why, at her age, she wants control over it, beats me. I would think that she would be happy to let the next generation of the family take over.
I guess when money is involved, all sense goes out the window.... Unless of course Priscilla reckons that her granddaughter would not be able to take good care of the Trust. And she might be right in that..

There are some weird things about it- the signature doesn't look right and it was never notarized that should make it null & void right there.
