Climate change could trigger gigantic deadly tsunamis from Antarctica Climate change could unleash gigantic tsunamis in the Southern Ocean by triggering underwater landslides in Antarctica, a new study warns. By drilling into sediment cores hundreds of feet beneath the seafloor in Antarctica, scientists discovered that during previous periods of global warming — 3 million and 15 million years ago — loose sediment layers formed and slipped to send massive tsunami waves racing to the shores of South America, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. And as climate change heats the oceans, the researchers think there's a possibility these tsunamis could be unleashed once more. Their findings were published May 18 in the journal Nature Communications.SE www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/climate-change-could-trigger-gigantic-210523013.html

It could.
The super volcano in Yellowstone Park could also become active again, eliminating living on most of the North American Continent.

2020s, Climate change could trigger gigantic deadly tsunamis. As an aside, deadly to whom? Penguins?

Our sun could also turn into a red giant. Expanding till the corona extends past earth's orbit. Now that would cause global warming. Like all stars, our Sun will eventually run out of energy. When it starts to die, the Sun will expand into a red giant star, becoming so large that it will engulf Mercury and Venus, and possibly Earth as well. solarsystem.nasa.gov/solar-system/sun/in-depth/

I think the safest places to live are near the oceans. Why you ask? Because they are where so many rich green people live (cough, cough, Obama, cough cough.)

For years I've been waiting for the elites like Obama to start dumping their seaside properties for pennies on the dollar because of cLiMaTe ChAnGe but it never seems to happen. Weird.

Why the NY Times has any credibility left all all is a mystery to me.

2020s, Climate change could trigger gigantic deadly tsunamis. As an aside, deadly to whom? Penguins? And the predicted numerous Hurricanes, many, many more Hurricanes were supposed to happen. The study, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, found that the annual number of global hurricanes, typhoons and tropical storms — or tropical cyclones, more generally — declined by roughly 13% as the planet warmed during the 20th century.link
