That is funny!
I don't buy NN products. They simply just aren't as good as the name brands.
Exception being flour. I find it all to be the same. But then again I am no expert on flour.

I buy no name all the time ya save a ton of money and it's the same thing, a can of corn is still the same corn regardless of the name on the label, the same with cereal, house brands are the same thing as the major brands only at half the price. Peanut Butter same thing it's all ground up peanuts. I always buy Wal-Marts "Great value" brand.

No name is inferior. It's rare to find a NN product that is as good or as well made as a name brand.
But if you don't really care about the quality of the food you eat, then it shouldn't matter to you.
Maybe that was a bit unfair. I know there are many out there who can only afford NN stuff. So whatever works best for you I guess.

I will try an off brand and test it out. If i like it, i will keep getting it. If not i go back to what I like. I don't know about Canada but in America many products are made and packaged by the same exact companies except a different label is applied. Not all of course. There are some products that are processed differently but worth trying to save a few pennies here and there if you can by trying them out.

So whatever works best for you I guess. Many things like corn in a can are the same regardless of the label- all ya pay for is the brand name. After all corn is corn it's all grown the same. Also many foods are made in the same plant with just different packaging on it, one example is bacon- there is a big bacon plant in Omaha, NE and they made brands like "Corn King" bacon and 'Wilson" brand bacon and they also run off brands on the same production line the establishment number is "13331" it's stamped on the side of the package all bacon with that number comes from the Omaha plant regardless of the brand name. Peanut butter is the same way they do a production run of one brand then switch the labels and run another brand. Many cars are the same to- or they were years ago- Ford Motor Company ran the Mercury cars and the Ford LTD cars on the same line at the same plant the only difference is some of the body trim & name plates they put on the vehicles. The Mustang car was made at Fords Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Michigan- my uncle worked there in the 'stamping dept.' and our 7th grade class toured that factory on a field trip. This was around 1967. Our school took us on many field trips. I dunno what the Ford Rouge Plant makes today or if they are still open, they used to make the Mustang & the Mercury Cougar there. That was said to be one of the biggest factories in the world and it was all self contained they even made their own steel.

If some of these foods are, like you say, made in the same facility, all I can say is that the NN versions are the left overs or the more stale version of something. As the two are definitely not the same.

Walmart has a Italian dressing placed next to Olive Gardens dressing. Brought the NN brand and it was EXACTLY like OG's
