I watched "Highway Thru Hell" they had a truck with radioactive material flip over and Jammie was working in Alberta were it was around -40*C below zero. The coldest temp I have even been in was around -28*C or about -20*F and that was really cold.

I watched an old VCR tape "The March Of Time" Episode was "Ramparts Forever" it was about the WWI and life back then. in 1914 life in America was good rumors of war in Europe was not thought about much, then in 1915 Germany sank the Lusitania and our nation became divided those who favored war and those who did not- people started to dis-like German Americans. Woodrow Wilson kept America out of the war---- then in 1916 Germany started attacking our ships on the open seas making America seem weak. We finally had to go to war in 1917 and it was bad, Germany used poison gas. Very film interesting I like historic things- history repeats. People then hoped thru 1915-1917 the war would end in Europe so we would not have to get involved. In 1918 that big flu struck and that was bad much worse than todays COVID.

I started Watching 'Baby Reindeer' the other night. I just have the last half of the last episode to go. It is like watching a train wreck. Apparently there won't be a season 2 because they wrapped up the story line.

Apparently there won't be a season 2 because they wrapped up the story line. Baby Reindeer is based on a true story, Richard Robert Steven Gadd is a Scottish writer, actor and comedian. He created and starred in the 2024 Netflix drama series Baby Reindeer, based on his one-man show and real-life experience.

I admire the author/actor for being brave enough to tell his story so honestly. And it made me wonder just how many people who are seeking fame go through this kind of thing? Maybe 'casting couches' and all that brings with it, are more common than we know? I hope the guy in the movie is okay now and the woman too come to that.

I watched an old VCR tape called "The Great Depression"-(Workers At Ford) The video was mostly about Detroit and Ford workers, they said in August of 1931 Ford closed up the Rouge plant no one was buying cars. It was closed for about 6 months. It was tuff back then they had no unemployment insurance, No SS, and banks were not insured by the FDIC so people had no way to get money or make money, and with bank failures people lost their savings.
My grand parents from both sides- never said anything about hard times in the depression, my mother never said anything either but she was just a kid in 1930- However my grandparents were always tight with money maybe that's a result of the depression. Detroit was hit pretty hard. It's amazing we got out of it, people had no money to buy things so more people lost their jobs in a down ward cycle. The video ended in 1939-- It's been said that WWII brought the American economy back from the brink.
