Good point there, Springschick. I wouldn't want to pay a license just to watch T.V. like they have to in the UK. And truth is commercials can be a nice break, like you say to make a coffee or something. I don't actually watch them. I wonder if anyone really does?

Commercial breaks are much longer today then they were in past generations, so much so that when they show an old TV program they have to cut out more minutes of the old show so the extra commercials will fit the time slot, one example is "All In The Family" it aired in 1971 for 24 or 25 minutes, today when a re-run of it is shown they have cut it down to something like 22 minutes. Commercial creep seems to be getting worse, there are some shows that have so many commercials that it's not worth watching- I turn it off. The morning TV news programs (Like Good Morning America) come back form a commercial break talk two seconds about what is up & coming and go back to more commercials, then they give the weather report and go to more commercials. In the 1950's TV shows were sponsored by a company and they had hardly any commercials. You guys are just looking at it all wrong. The commercials give you time to go to the restroom, get a snack, talk about what you just saw with whomever you are with. Besides, the commercials keep the shows you like to watch funded. The commercials of long ago did the same thing they paid for the show with many less commercials, why do they suddenly need so many more commercials today than was needed before, no doubt in the future the commercial time will creep longer and longer, some people believe more commercials are needed to pay the higher wages of movie stars and/or the wages of the hosts. BTW as I recall when cable TV (or "pay TV" as it was called then) first came out in the 1960's it was pretty much commercial free because it was supported by the viewers who paid for it, and slowly they creeped in some commercials, and today it's full of commercials. There are some shows or big events that have so many commercials it's not really worth watching, they come back form 7 minutes of commercials and have about 5 minutes of the program and go to more commercials, many first run movies on TV are like that. Gets to a point where the program is not worth watching.

Wish it would rain here, it is meant to be winter here and all we ave is sun shine I wish I could give you our rain and I'll take your sunshine, we are in Summer and it's supposed to be warm & sunny here not rainy. Australia residents are lucky to have such a mild climate all year around.

It was in the 90's here on Saturday, and a very pleasant 75 and sunny on Sunday.

It seems at work everytime I wanna use the restroom they are cleaning in, I dunno how many times they clean it per day. I work at a rather large company in a large building so when the rest room is being cleaned you have to walk 100 meters to the other side of the building to the next restroom.

Don't like those automatic water facets or paper towel dispensers in many restrooms, they don't work good and the facets keep shutting off too soon, or don't even turn on.

Husbands or boyfriends ads who treat their wives kids or girlfriends cruelly or talk down to them and expect their wives to ave supper on the table as soon as he gets home.
