I have alway enjoyed this and have never had any talent whatsoever. I wonder if I will try again some day. I'm happy if I break 100 most of the time.
Of course one of the reasons that I am awful is because I don't take it seriously. Everybody else in my family was a serious bowler, often with averages over 200, but if the pins fall down or not is not a big deal for me, even if I do not like gutter balls.

Oh I love bowling. So much fun. I'm not that good at it either, but I do enjoy going once in a while.

I also think he means bowling in an alley, since he mentioned gutter balls.
Bowling is very big where I live. We even had a course in it for physical education class in high school -- went to the bowling alley across from the school for it.
I am like Kerouac. People in my family are quite good. I like bowling but do not take it as seriously as many people I know.

No kidding? There was actually a course in it over there?
I need more practice, I haven't been in a while.
