I tried watching the movie "Roma" but found it very slow and frankly kind of boring. It's a long movie that I just gave up on after about 20 minutes.

I don't watch the Oscars there are too canned it's the same old stuff. On top of that they get into political stuff and attack conservatives or our president.

Oscars, After Repeated Tumbles, Takes Center Stage in HollywoodAt least the weather will be sunny for Sunday afternoon’s Oscars ceremony following one of the stormiest — and strangest — awards seasons in memory. Expectations have been turned upside down in key categories amid a historic lack of consensus among guild and critics groups. The 91st Academy Awards will be the first in three decades without a host. The show is produced by Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss, with Weiss also serving as director. The show begins at 5 p.m. PST Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with Oscars presented in 24 categories. ABC will televise the ceremony in the U.S., where producers are hopeful that the broadcast won’t see the same kind of decline as last year’s 16% plunge to 26.5 million, the lowest U.S. viewership in Oscar history. variety.com/2019/film/news/oscars-2019-kickoff-black-panther-green-book-1203146879/

I won't be watching but I'll have grand memories of what once was.
Times change as the great productions are no more but new and interesting formats have surfaced. I really enjoy NETFLIX and have found great fondest with Canadian, Irish and Scottish productions, as well as many other international venues.

Caught snippets overnight and this morning....I don't know what was better: seeing Green Book win Best Film Oscar or hearing about Spike Lee pitching a goodamn fit over getting shafted again? Spike Lee wanted to win best picture I am sure of it! He did win an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for BlackKlansMan however. Here is his acceptance speech:
