“In either case, the early settlement history of the Americas appears to be more complicated and may date back thousands of years earlier than commonly believed, according to the new human morphology data.”
More broadly, all of human history is more complicated and dates back far further than commonly believed.

I did see a show about the first settlers to America. I agree with sb, in that I think there is so much more that we don't know as yet.

I heard that Scotland was once part of north America, so anything is possible. How can that be? The two land masses are so far away from each other. I have heard that India was joined to Australia a long time ago. Before the land masses drifted apart. That would make sense, as in a puzzle, the pieces seem to fit, and also South Indians have been known to be genetically linked to the aborigines of Australia. www.abc.net.au/news/2013-01-15/research-shows-ancient-indian-migration-to-australia/4466382

The continents have drifted.
Look where India is!

Aboriginal people look completely different from Africans and those in India.

Ancient stone tools suggest first people arrived in America earlier than thoughtwww.nbcnews.com/science/science-news/ancient-stone-tools-suggest-first-people-arrived-america-earlier-thought-n1234578Pieces of limestone from a cave in Mexico may be the oldest human tools ever found in the Americas, and suggest people first entered the continent up to 33,000 years ago – much earlier than previously thought.
The findings, published Wednesday in two papers in the journal Nature, which include the discovery of the stone tools, challenge the idea that people first entered North America on a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska and an ice-free corridor to the interior of the continent.
Precise archaeological dating of early human sites throughout North America, including the cave in Mexico, suggests instead that they may have entered along the Pacific coast, according to the research.
