I guess I must be fortunate in that I've never been on a flight long enough to require an aeroplane meal . I've only been to other places in Europe, not halfway around the world or anything like that. The only food I've ever eaten on planes was snacks like crisps and popcorn. Which was nice enough, if a little on the expensive side.

Short-hall flights don't offer any meals on board do they, Kyng? Whenever I travel overseas, or even if I don't actually, I have to catch a small 'plane from my local airport to get to the bigger major airports or to my destination. They don't serve any food either. But occasionally they will offer soft drinks and nuts, which is kind of nice.

I think the ones I went on did, but I'm not 100% sure. I didn't look very hard at the menu because I didn't even want a meal .

I have done a lot of overseas flying on airlines like Singapore and Thai Airways. Their service and food have always been exceptional, and I have never had any problem getting a delicious veggie entree. smiley-eatdrink026 When I when to Romania in 2011, I flew Lufthansa, and spoiled myself by flying Business Class. Again, I was amazed at how appetizing and delicious the veggie entrees were, and I loved the food. The only time I've had an issue is with domestic flights within the US. The last time I flew from New Jersey to California, they actually made you pay for the measly meal that you had, in addition to the airfare! ~Shaliza

I like Lufthansa, I've flown with them a couple of times now.
I was bowled away at just how beautiful the Air Stewardess were on the Air India flight I did some years ago. And so Polite! They must choose them specifically.
It's the same with most domestic flights here too, Shaliza, you have to pay for your meals. Never used to be this way at one time.

I don't like flying period! I've been flying since I was five years old and can't actually remember how many flights I've been on now. That's what happens when you have family and friends all over the world.
The only flights I don't mind are the short domestic ones on the tiny 'planes. Those are kind of cool.
Given the chance I'd rather drive.
