Even though I did not watch a regular season baseball game, and only saw one game of the World Series, I want to congratulate the Atlanta Braves on being World Series Champions this year. I have always loved the Atlanta Braves, at least I have going back to the early 1980s. Normally, I would have listened to or watched between 80 and 100 games and all of the post season games involving Atlanta. My issues are not with the Braves organization. My issues are with MLB for politicizing the game, much as the NFL and NBA have done, which has led me to walk away from them. Still, this is a major achievement for the Braves. It is their first title since 1995, and only their second while in the city of Atlanta. They were huge underdogs throughout the playoffs, and even lost one of their star pitchers in the first game of the World Series. They never doubted themselves, and they got the job done. Hopefully they will re-sign Freddie Freeman and have another contending team next year. Again, congratulations to the world champion Atlanta Braves. Though you cannot see it, I gave them a couple of tomahawk chops.

I saw more than 1 game this year. I am glad the Braves won. It is nice to see Snitker win his first championship and is nice for people like Freeman. I think the Braves will re-sign Freeman. Imagine the fan reaction if they don't!
