God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is one of my favorites.
Silver Bells is another.

With Russia poised to invade the Ukraine and China about to do the same with Taiwan, it might be time to bring back this old favorite...

I just love, love, love them ALL!! There's not a Christmas song I don't like!! We should play CHRISTMAS SONGS all year round!! That's what I say!!
And with that being said, I can't wait to get back to Steely Dan!
(I just really hate Christmas music...)

Aww... Brian, I bet you don't really Not all. I liked Springsteen's Santa Claus is coming to Town for about three hearings of it per year. The meaning of Christmas is not lost on me but the commercialism is. Why, you ask? Because the holiday inevitably gets ruined because someone calls you to produce an extra pie through an extra stop on the way to their house. It's always that one pie that no one ends up touching...and I'm always pissed off because nobody wants take it home. There are too many expectations by too many people to have a too perfect holiday that they end up making everyone miserable because it always remains an impossibility to please everyone...as if that makes any sense. I do like Andy Williams at Christmas though... I think I like the Springsteen tune because it is so unpolished.

I like "The 1st NOEL" and "Hark, the Hearld Angels Sing". BTW my sister was in the school band and they did Christmas concerts, we were able to record it on a reel to reel tape recorder and I still have the recordings. The school (A PUBLIC School) back then actually used the word "Christmas" in the title of the concert as in "Christmas Concert" NOT "Holiday Concert" or "Winter Concert". Our vacation was called a "Christmas Vacation" not a "Winter Break".
Anywho, the band played both secular & religious songs and when they played "The 1st NOEL" they used chimes and bells and in the recording it sounds real good. They also played "Sleigh Ride" the standard version.
How times have changed, today the only songs a public school can play are songs like "Santa is coming to town"&"Frosty the snowman" totally ignoring the whole reason behind Christmas of Jesus.

You make a good point there, SK. And it's not Happy Christmas nowadays it's Happy Holidays. Well, whatever I guess!

I dunno what it's like in Canada but that was only around 50 years ago, the early 1970's in the USA today you can't say the world "Christmas" in a public school.
