I enjoyed the Monkees when I was a kid, and still do. Daydream Believer is still one of my jams.

RIP. I remember when The Monkees first aired. I would sit in from of the TV with my father's massive reel to reel machine, big old square mic in front of the TV speaker, and record both songs each show.
Still the tune I liked the best...
Mike was also the one responsible for the creation of MTV. He sold them on the idea with his Popclips thing he created. “They paid me a nice number. That was my exit.” he later said about his part in the start of MTV.

I am sorry to hear of his passing. I thought their television show was too silly, but I do like many of their songs."I'm A Believer" is probably my favorite. If I am not mistaken, I think Neil Diamond wrote that for them.

Sorry to hear about this today. Did a little research and found out Peter Tork who died in 2019 was from Willimantic, Ct. His father was a Uconn professor. Never knew that.
