How many have never read the Bible through, but would like to? Many years ago, I counted the number of chapters in the Bible, and divided them by the number of days in a year and realized that if you read just 4 chapters a day, you can complete it in less than a year. There is no better time than now to choose to do that as we are just starting a new year. If you read just 4 chapters a day, you will finish before 2022 comes to an end. That is just 28 chapters a week. I always find that I can get ahead when I get to Psalms, as many of them are very short.
For those who want to do this and are not so concerned about finishing within a year, or who have time to read more than 4 chapters at a time, a good way for beginners to start is to read the New Testament through once, and then start in Genesis and read the entire Bible. We are under the New Covenant today, not the Old Testament. We need to know the old to fully understand the new, but to live the Christian life, the New Testament is the most important thing to get inside our hearts. I personally recommend using an Authorized King James Bible, because there have been changes made to many of the new versions. The best modern version to me is the New King James, but even that has been altered slightly. If you are able to understand the old English, the Authorized King James Bible is best.

MAY ALL feast on that bible and do so daily . Let all that draws breath praise the glorious Lord .

Did you already begin my friend . If so i will try and catch up . What chapter are you on my friend . I know that you already know, but we started going through the Bible at 4 chapters per day starting Sunday. By tonight, we will be through Genesis chapter 16. Following this schedule, we should finish before the end of the year. Anyone interested can join us, and if you want to discuss things you learned, or you have questions, they can be added to this thread.
