Yes, it kneads the bread then lets it rise, kneads it again, second rise and bakes it for you. I think bread machine bread tends to be a bit more dense than when i do it by hand but the machine is handy its easier with a mixer. plus you can make a bigger batch of dough with a mixer

I have been doing some reading on diastatic malt powder and NON-diastatic malt powder. Also dough conditioners and such. I was going to try sour dough, but I really don't like sour dough bread all that much. However, i did spend several days trying to make my own sour dough starter which was a big flop lol

Let's see the avg 5lb bag of flour holds about 18 cups of flour. You can buy a bag a 5lb bag of flour for about $2.98. So, 16.5cents per cup. There are cheaper and more expensive flour. That is Gold Medal brand. Anyway an average loaf of bread is about 3 cups of flour. So, the cost of the flour for that would be about 50 cents. Then you add water, a small amount of salt and sugar and yeast. So I could make 6 loaves of bread out of that 5lb bag.

So.... what are y'all baking today?🤔 Focaccia, a little less salt this time. Last time I made it, you could have used it as a salt lick.☺
