So, here’s why “Christian Super Bowl” has been trending on Twitter all day today: On Sunday night, a one-minute-long ad stating that “Jesus loved the people we hate. He gets us. All of us,” made quite the splash. The ad featured a vignette of black-and-white photos of memorable, unruly fights in the streets, on airplanes, and really, everywhere, from the last couple of years. And considering many of its photos depict visibly angry Black protesters and people of color, the message, apparently, is that we should love the people who are ruthlessly hacking away at our rights. The “He Gets Us” ad cost a whopping $20 million, and that’s on top of the handful of previous iterations that have aired throughout the NFL playoffs in recent weeks. Of course,$20 million is a drop in the bucket for the group that funded it: the Servant Foundation, which reported $1 billion in assets and distribution of $390 million in grants to anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ organizations, per its 2020 tax return obtained by Lever News. Among the top five beneficiaries of these grants? The Alliance Defending Freedom—which proudly takes credit for drafting the 2018 Mississippi law that led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June. More recently, ADF is leading the legal war to end medication abortion in the U.S.(Erin Hawley, the wife of pro-insurrection, rabidly anti-abortion Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), is notably a member of the senior counsel at the organization.) www.yahoo.com/news/group-behind-super-bowl-jesus-202000092.html

Was just contacted by a couple acquaintances that there is already a $100,000 bounty on anyone who makes their money disappear and hacks their page/accounts...They expect it to be $250,000 by the end of the week... Now WHO would do something like that???

If one looks into these folks I personally think the 7 million dollars could have been spent in a more wise fashion.

And considering many of its photos depict visibly angry Black protesters and people of color, the message, apparently, is that we should love the people who are ruthlessly hacking away at our rights. It also showed a lot of angry white people. Here it is: Have to be honest and say I didn't watch it because I simply don't care to...I posted this for two reasons, the first is I see this is pushing religion and showing the money involved with religion...Religion is no longer about faith and trying to help people it is a worldwide corporation that doesn't pay taxes to any government...imo Secondly, I think this Servant Foundation doesn't realize that by airing these commercials they have laid down an open challenge to those that oppose organized religion many of which exist in the online world and have nefarious ideals... Now I will say this for the umpteenth time I am not against religion if it is truly helping but I do believe it should be up to a person to find their way in life and not have any religion pushed on them or coerced into believing...I have seen many times how religions have prayed on the weak and confused...

Just a personal note about myself. I wasn't raised a Christian. I got interested in Christianity because of the appearance of so-called "Jesus Freaks" in my high school. I wanted to understand what it was all about. I was invited to an evangelical church by my neighbor. He and a friend of his shared their faith with me on the way there. That was part of a catalyst that led to my own conversion. If they hadn't done so I might never have encountered Jesus the way I did. So for that I am eternally grateful. Others might have viewed that as "pushing religion" but not me. I used to be one of those "Jesus freaks"... LOL. Then I recovered.

As I said before, if it works for you then enjoy...I personally see no point in it and I find my time better spent with other endeavors...

No I see it, the Union Gospel here does an incredible amount of work with the homeless and the drug addicted. I can only imagine what they would do with 20 million + dollars.

Judas complained when money was spent on oil to anoint Jesus instead of food for the poor. Just saying.

Judas complained when money was spent on oil to anoint Jesus instead of food for the poor. Just saying. The Pharisees paid a great deal of attention to outward ordinances and actions that would make them appear righteous, but they were not as concerned with actually being righteous in their hearts. For this Jesus referred to them as hypocrites.

I don't know who put the ads on. I didn't see the ads. Not sure what they intended to achieve or not with it. But apparently they raised money to do it.
