German woman claims she 'might be' Madeleine McCann and offers police to do a DNA test
A young woman has posted a series of bizarre posts on Instagram claiming to be missing British girl Madeleine McCann.
The German woman, who posts under the handle @iammadeleinemccan, purports to have evidence backing her claims that she is the youngster, who disappeared from a holiday apartment in the Algarve in Portugal in 2007.
German prosecutors have stated in the past that they believe the youngster is dead, and could charge chief suspect Christian Brueckner with her killing this summer. However, the German woman has continued to post undeterred, claiming she and the missing girl have too much in common for her claims to be ignored.

I don't think it's her, the eyes are very different. But she could have been a missing child nevertheless.

Yeah, I am not buying it. I mean get a dna test, shouldn't be too hard to do. I think it might be someone milking social media for attention

I'd like to know her story though. She lives with her grandma, who were her parents? How did her "grandma" come to have her.
Unless she was a child abducted, not Madeline ,but someone else's child. Children do go missing each year. They don't all make the news and headlines though.

I don't think it's her, the eyes are very different. But she could have been a missing child nevertheless. Having an irregularity in her right eye does lend more credibility to her story. |

The heads are different one is very round and the other more oval. DNA should find out.

The fact that she does have that iris defect is a bit credible. But, probably just someone looking for attention

Madeleine had a very specific iris defect, easy to spot and not something that would change with growing up. All one would need is a comparison of that one eye and from the photo, hers is not in the same spot. |

In the video, she also clarified that she is Polish, not German, as some reports suggested. Madeleine, who would be 19 in April, has a Coloboma, a rare eye condition that affects the iris, lens and retina. The woman claims to have the same eye defect, as well as a freckle on her leg and a speck next to her eye that resembles Madeleine’s features. link |

Out of the millions of young women in the world, there is bound to be at least a couple who would look somewhat like Madeline, with the same defect in her eye.
But a dna test would say for sure if it is her or not. I doubt very much it is though.
I feel real sorry for Madeline's parents, such a sad story. In fact for any parents of missing children. Because there are many that go missing each year.
In fact at about the same time that Madeline went missing in Portugal, not far from where she was a small Portuguese boy went missing too. But no one even mentioned it. Why? Because he came from a poor family? Because he had brown skin and black hair? Because he was a boy? Because his parents weren't British doctors? Why? Why is one child's life worth so much more than another's? Both go missing at nearly the same time and not very far from each other?
Millions were spent on looking for Madeline, while next to nothing is spent on looking for the many other missing children. Why?

The tests revealed that Julia Wendell, 21, is not the missing girl. Wendell has near 100 per cent Polish heritage, with no evidence of British or even German ancestry, according to spokeswoman Dr. Fia Johansson.
