Probably one of the most divisive herbs in the world. According to those who abhor cilantro, most agree it tastes like soap and or dirt. Famous Chef Julia Childs was a cilantro hater, so am I.
Do you love it or hate it, cast your vote above.

I like both of those. But, coriander can be a bit overpowering to me.

I love it. My daughter-in-law's mother gets the soapy taste.

I like both of those. But, coriander can be a bit overpowering to me. coriander and cilantro are the same plant. coriander is the seeds... whole, ground, crushed. cilantro is the green leaves & stems. i think the green parts (cilantro) have more of the flavor that some don't care for.

Just a tiny bit of cilantro ruins the taste of an otherwise tasty dish for me.

I've got some seeds growing in the pot as we speak! i don't think the leaves (cilantro) tastes much like the seeds (coriander). maybe cuz coriander is crushed/ground and spread out much more sparsely in a dish. i'm gonna try cilantro again in my "back 40"... patio. problem is the damn TREE RATS like it, too.

I actually don't use the seeds of the plant, Just the leaves. I keep the seeds for the following year in order to grow the plants again. Good luck with your growing season, misspi,!

Good luck with your growing season, misspi ,! have thought of pulling every seed in my spice collection and seeing what will grow. maybe i'll just do herbs on my farm. i think only encounter i have with coriander is ground... in something like chili.

I have that too, ground coriander. It's good for off-season use.

I don't love or hate it. I like it with some dishes and not others. And I don't like it overpower either.
