TikTok user Gigi was charged a $25 fee after a restaurant server cut her cake, which she had brought herself.



Gigi, whose TikTok handle is @vivala_blondiiie, went viral after posting the video, which showed her receipt of $113, with the $25 charge which read,“1 Cut Cake.”



Gigi wrote over the video:“When the server asks if we want the cake WE brought cut, thinking she’s doing something nice for us…but it was 25 dollars.”

Not right in my opinion. It should be part of the service.

But nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to restaurant charges.

They also charge a corkage fee every if you bring your own alcohol also .

Restaurants don't like it when ya bring in outside food or cakes.
If you go to a auto repair shop and ask the guy to install a part that you bought they will charge ya a bit extra on the labor and there will be no warranty on the part or labor.
In this case the cost should of been mentioned before hand.$25.00 is more than the price of the cake.
Lucky it was only one cake slice, if it was 4 slices it would of been over $100.00. I dunno why they wanted someone else to cut the cake anyhow.

I see nothing wrong with calling ahead and to check .  Some places don't mind.  We have had bowling alley parties and bought pizza there but brought our own cake and such.  Of course they don't sell cake so that's a bit different, but I always called ahead to make sure that was fine before doing it.
