The Faith of a Protestant
We believe in God the Father Creator of the Universe and whose Being is Perfect Love
We believe in His Son Jesus Christ Our Lord who died for us on the Cross to save our sins
We believe that God and Christ are everywhere and in our hearts
We believe that we can communicate directly with God and Christ and need no intermediary, earthly or heavenly
We believe in the priesthood of all true believers and do not believe that we need a priest, bishop, archbishop, cardinal or Pope to intercede on our behalf with God
We believe that God is ever-present and we do not need to go to church to worship Him
We believe that the Bible outranks the word or thoughts of any individual man or woman and that no human is or ever can be infallible or take upon themselves the power to forgive sins which belongs to God alone
We believe that neither any man nor any council of churches can change the Word of God or put forth teachings, rituals or customs that are not in accordance with His Word

I meant to say something about this earlier. I appreciate you posting this. Thank you for standing up for Christ. When it comes to loved ones that have not come to believe, we need to keep praying and believing that God will miraculously reveal His Son to them. He can. He did it with Saul who became the Apostle Paul.

romaniprincess, I was wondering if you would mind sharing more about the Church of England? Being an American, I know a lot about the many churches in this country, but basically nothing about your church. I know that many teach that the Roman Catholic Church traces its roots to the early Christians, and Peter was supposedly the first Pope, but those claims do not hold water, and I know you reject them. I don't know how familiar you are with protestants in America, but what kind of differences would we find in the Church of England from a typical protestant in this country?

If someone wants to know about Christ they can ask me privately. We all have a role to play.

It is like me right now using online radio. That is not everyone's thing, and not everyone could do that, but there are others who can do things I cannot do. We are also where God planted us, and we know different people. We should do what we are able to do. You have been more vocal here than in times past.

Many won't go to church because they think they need to clean up their lives to be acceptable first. Many Christians think they can't share the Gospel because they struggle to be good and worry people will point out their shortcomings. The truth is all have sinned and the beauty of the Gospel is that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. I remember seeing a bumper sticker years ago that made me smile...Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.
I was a spokesperson on a cable TV Christian broadcast for several years. We recorded in a studio in Manhattan and the show was broadcast in the five boroughs of NYC and on parts of Long Island. I was nervous at first thinking I am not perfect, I might mess up my lines and recording time was very expensive. I also thought about people from my past who knew my sinful ways would see the show and call me a hypocrite. But I realized this is not about me, we're not selling us, we're pointing people to Jesus who is perfect in every way. When I shifted my focus from myself to the Lord it took away my nervousness and I became 'one take Dot' nailing my parts on camera without need to retake.
Don't worry people you witness to will not accept the Gospel because they will judge you for your failings. People get much more hope knowing the thief on the cross was accepted into Heaven than knowing the disciples were. We can all relate to being in need of forgiveness when we're down and out.
