Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner’s Divorce Gets Next-Level Petty Over Pots and PansThe former model made headlines in June after she alleged that the Yellowstone actor was attempting to kick her out of their family home. While the duo’s prenuptial agreement stated that if Baumgartner chose to end their marriage, she would have to vacate the premises one month after their split, Baumgartner claimed that she didn’t have the funds to move with their children. However, a judge ruled she must do so by the end of July. Baumgartner also requested $248,000 per month in child support from her estranged husband to continue raising the kids in their current lifestyle. THE REST ON HERE

So they have been together 18 years and have 3 kids. And yet she has to vacate the premises within 30 days after the split.

What do you think? Is she just a greedy gold digger or does she deserve half of everything, since they were married for so long and have 3 kids?
Due to the pre-nup, she won't be getting half though.

I always liked Kevin Costner. It's sad that his marriage has broken up and in such a bad way.
I'm glad I am not the judge in this case.

What's the longevity of Hollywood marriages?

Thanks for piping in, Rusty! It looked like I was talking to myself for while there lol. Well Hollywood marriages... they last about the quarter of the time other marriages do. And other marriages don't last long at all! (There are a few exceptions though of course)

Why are most Hollywood marriages so short lived?

You would be right I think, Skoal, Having great wealth allows these people more choices than the every day person would have I think. Does this mean that struggling financially actually keeps people together? They say that back in time, the 1950's for instance, when a woman had to rely on the man (The Breadwinner), for anything that requited money (which is just about everything isn't it), the marriages lasted longer. She knew her role and he knew his. In fact I hear that some people want to go back to that traditional kind of marriage and are actively looking to do so.

Because of the agreement, she is not entitled to anything except what is specified, but if they had no such agreement, she would be entitled to half. I hate to see any couple split up, especially when there are children involved.
If I read the story correctly, she must leave the residence within a month if she chose to end the marriage. I must conclude that the split was her decision, and I think much of what is happening is typical of a bad breakup. Costner is taking advantage of the agreement.

He does seem very upset with her. I read someplace that she was interested in someone else.
I thought her having to leave within a month, with 3 kids in tow was mean, but I guess if that was what was in the pre-nup, then she has no choice. But for the kids sake, the whole thing should have been done better.
Apparently she had been planning the divorce for a long time, and had been using his credit card to buy an expensive car and other things.
