Does anyone else use a bread maker to make bread?
I was given a bread making machine and it works great. I am not very good at making bread, but this just makes it so easy.
I don't see myself buying shop bread ever again!

I do, it's a Cuisinart and I love it. I mainly use mine to make the dough and I cook it in a loaf pan. I let it do all the work lol.

I like the fact that I can just add all the ingredients, turn the machine on and then forget about it.
Come back later on and I have a lovely freshly baked loaf.
I have never had much luck making it by hand, but I have always been in awe of those that can do it.

Looks like the machine makes cakes and yogurt too. I haven't figured out how that all works yet though!

I have one. I used to use it to make gluten free bread. Our younger son has celiac's and when he was a kid, they were just starting to diagnose and there weren't gluten free products available. I used the bob's red mill gluten free mix and would make bread for him.
I made regular bread with it to. It can be quite a handy gadget. But, now I like just like making it with my Kitchen Aid dough hook and hand kneading, etc.

Btw, you can take the paddle out before it bakes. After it mixes , remove the paddle prior to the rise, then you won't have to tear it out or have a whole in the bottom of your loaf.

I loved the one I used to have. Had to get rid of it when we downsized. I might have to get another one.

deyana, I think they ship to Canada. You should check this out Prepared Pantry they have great breads and stuff for bread makers. I buy from them a lot but just use the oven option.

my sister got one from a friend whatever year they became THE kitchen appliance to have. she made a lot of "breads" over the years but especially liked it for making pizza dough. i seem to remember it having a special setting where she could dump all the ingredients into the machine, press a button or 2, leave for work and the dough would be perfect when she got home.
i found one at a yard sale several years ago for just a few dollars. in the box, signs that it was never used, had all the instructions. i used it a few time. bottom line... for me... it took up too much valuable storage space. i cleaned it up and donated it to a thrift store.

The space issue is a concern for me, too. Maybe once the big pantry is done being built.
