Hi - I wanted to share a bit of information with you about myself. While no one has asked me, many claim they know who and what I am. I've been trying to live by Ted Lasso's motto to be curious and not judgmental, but I fail like most of us. If you don't know it, watch here.
That said, many people claim things about me they clearly do not know. Like I'm a liberal, mainly rooted in my lack of loyalty to Trump, but the reasons matter little. I inform them I'm more conservative than anything. That results in me being called liar more often than not. So, I've learned over the years to let that insult slide by without notice. I hope the lack of my hurt feelings doesn't upset anyone.
Anyway, I shared a bit of my personal struggles with City and State Government here and other places. That battle continues to rage on and it's one that has engulfed a lot of my time, forced me to get to know my neighbors, and to a big degree educated me on the ways of our government. All good things I might add. Anyway, yesterday at an outing I was approached and asked to run for public office. Like you're likely doing, I laughed. However, they were very serious, and I told them I would think about. If you can't tell from my posting, I like to teach and lecture, and this got their attention over several public settings. Here's the kicker, y'all sitting down, it would be on the Republican ballot. I'm not sure any of us here could live with that, but I found it interesting. I personally have no desire for office, but admit I'm a bit flattered.
Just thought everyone should know.
