Tonight I ordered from a restaurant and used Doordash to deliver my food. In addition to various taxes, fees and tip, not to mention the ever rising prices of food making even formerly wallet friendly fast food restaurants no longer an affordable option, I noticed yet another fee added to the bill. Apparently the cost of raising minimum wage is being passed on to the customers (big surprise right.) Much like student loan forgiveness and all the taxes imposed on plants and truckers who deliver food, gas and other necessities, someone has to pay the extra costs and it's not "the government" who forced these expenses on businesses. Whether it's gassing up your car, heating or cooling your home, or using water or electricity, there's just so much a person can afford before one has to lower their standard of living significantly. Here's my bill and the explanation when I clicked on the new added charge... * The reduction in delivery & service fees are because I pay a yearly fee for the discount. If I did not, those charges would have also been added.

That's interesting, as if it wasn't expensive enough already. I saw where Gov Newsom was caught only paying his help $16 an hour in his restaurants.
