She is sweet and sad at the same time. Sometimes, I think it's a blessing to not remember parts of one's life

deyana, Wouldn't it be great if you could selectively only forget the bad and hurtful stuff in the end?

I've worked at an assisted living facility since 1999 and have seen some heartbreaking things. The saving grace is most live day to day and when I take them every Tuesday/ Friday afternoons to a ride along the beach in Milford and West Haven they leave thanking me with a smile on their faces it's an awesome thing

I didn't bother to watch this video because it's a disturbing reminder. I'm 65, raised Catholic and in my entire life my mother never talked about religion and only went to church for weddings and funerals. She had Alzheimer's and was in a home. She was sleeping when I got there and woke up said "Oh, hello" and went back to sleep. I was watching something on tv when she moved. I looked at her and she moved again and I knew she was going to die. For over an hour she moved ever 15 to 30 seconds until she died. it was very unsettling and disturbing to sit there and watch my non-religious mom make the sign of the cross

That is sad. But interesting in that your mom wanted to believe in something in the end...

That is sad. But interesting in that your mom wanted to believe in something in the end... She had Alzheimer's so I think her mind focused on something that would bring her comfort. Like all of us she wasn't born religious, it was brainwashed into her.
