The UK votes to see who the next Prime minister will be. It does seem it will be a bet between Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer, linkromaniprincess mikemarshall3

It's Conservatives versus Labor
Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer go head to head in final electoral debate
Wow, no personal attacks, no court case fiascos, no dissing each other's kids. An actual debate. A heated debate sure, but still a debate.

Labor won by a landslide!
My family in the UK have been Labor supporters ever since I can remember. I'm happy to see Labor win.
Let's hope they do good the country and it's people.

I've always been a swing voter and always will be. It was inevitable that the Tories would lose but there's no real enthusiasm for Labour either.
I didn't vote for either Labour or Conservative but I'm pleased to see some surprising results - Leicester East was particularly unexpected.
Starmer like Sunak strikes me as a decent bloke and I wish him well. He's got a tough job ahead of him!

It has been obvious for a long time that Labour would win. In some respects they may be better and in others worse.
What the election showed clearly is the irrationality and unfairness of our electoral system which enables a party who only secures 33% of the vote to have a majority of 170 seats.
Starmer will soon become as unpopular as his predecessors when he begins raising taxes even higher than they are at present.
