BBC Host’s Family Killed in Crossbow Attack

The wife and two adult daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt were killed in a crossbow attack on Tuesday night in Bushey, a quiet suburb northwest of London.

After an intense, hours-long manhunt, police detained 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, who reportedly used to briefly serve in the British Army.

Authorities believe the murders were a targeted attack. The motives are unclear, though British media mentioned that the suspect was an ex-boyfriend of one of the daughters.

Yes and this is not the first time a crossbow has been used as a weapon.

Crossbows need to be banned in the UK.  Criminals can't get them if there aren't any.

A crossbow as a weapon is unusual. The UK is big on knife crime though. Stabbings are quite common over there.

My brother had one for hunting a longtime ago. They are not fast on the reload. A regular bow and arrow is much faster.
