Heat is testing the limits of human survivability. So are riots.

So nothing to worry about ...all these drastic changes in my lifetime. I am not the least bit worried about it. I wouldn't do anything to try to fix it because it is just nature. Exactly, my concern level is at about 'yeah maybe', but the math doesn't match the concern of the warming cult faithful.. I have nothing to sell on this and are quite willing to let them squawk to their hearts content. The sky has been falling for one reason or another for quite some time now. The burden of proof lies with those producing the theory and I haven't seen it yet. At the current level of CO energy retention rate increase , it will take over 2000 years to deliver just the latent heat that is required to melt a good percentage of the polar ice. Won't be testing any survivability limits any time soon.

It's getting harder to enjoy the outdoors. Heat is here and it's getting worse. We've had a much cooler July over here. 21 days well below average this month, so far. You must live inside a furnace then.

We've had a much cooler July over here. 21 days well below average this month, so far. You must live inside a furnace then. Kind of. It's pretty hot in Arkansas in the summer. July/August has an average high of 91° every day where we're at. Our electric co-op sends out a monthly newsletter which includes the monthly average highs and lows from the NWS. For June we were 1.2 F degrees below average. I won't get the July totals till the September newsletter. I don't mind the slightly cooler than average temps. We have not been getting the big high pressure domes over the gulf of Mexico this year, that suck the surface air off the desert southwest of the US and sending it our way. Our above average days have been few, just a couple now and then.

The Earth was warmer 1000 years ago when the Vikings lived on Greenland they grew crops there, Greenland was mostly ice free then suddenly the climate changed and turned cold fast, the hardy Vikings had to flee. Today Greenland is frozen over. This is interesting every 10,000 years the Sahara Desert goes from hot & dry to wet and rainy due to the wobble in the Earths orbit. The wobble changes the path of the trade winds bringing up moisture to the Sahara. Everything runs in cycles even the sun.

The Medieval Warming Period was a more localized event.

Wow! Bad thunderstorms every night since last Thursday Batten down the hatches Ginger Zee said the North East will get some of hurricane Debbie, I used to know a chick named Debbie she was a knockout. They had some trees tumble over in parts of the N.E. already. Glad I don't have to worry about hurricanes.

I'll be doing the Furnace 5K August 23rd, one of my favorite racing events, the race starts off in the hot afternoon sun. About 400 runners took part last year. I pulled 2nd place in my age group but my finish time was the pitts. I love running but my body won't let me run like I want to. When I was young back in the 1980's I used to be able run and hold a 7.5 pace rather easy, if I pushed myself I could do better but I was burning pretty hard. I clocked myself from mile marker to mile marker on the Trinity jogging trail in Fort Worth, today they have the markers in kilometers too.

Yep, it's called climate change. It's never stopped changing in the planet's entire history. So nothing to worry about ...all these drastic changes in my lifetime. what do you know about it from before your lifetime?

why dont the global warming believers live by what they want to make everybody by? live by the bs you preach and mandate and show us how good it works. otherwise, shut the hell up and stop crying about it.

The whole agenda behind the mythical global warming 'crisis' is to impoverish the majority of the population.
It's a capitalist conspiracy against the poor and the working classes.

Its hot here today, record breaking heat. I have just heard how many parts of Italy and Greece are burning. Wildfires are approaching many small towns. Oh no, not again. This happened last year as well.

Looks like the normal oscillation to La Nina is expected to happen. Cooler than normal ocean surface temps starting sometime late fall/early winter. Tl;dr: Expect a La Niña pattern to dominate the winter of 2024-2025, bringing typical La Niña impacts. The Pacific Northwest and Great Lakes regions are forecasted to receive above-normal snowfall, making them prime destinations for skiing. Conversely, the southern tier of the U.S., including southern California to the Southeast, is expected to see below-normal precipitation, resulting in less snowfall. This pattern will likely persist through winter and early spring, favoring the Pacific Northwest for the most consistent snow. snowbrains.com/noaa-winter-2024-25-early-forecast/
