What you will need:
300 gm boneless chicken 2 teaspoon garlic paste 1 teaspoon ginger paste 2 onions ground 1.5 teaspoon red chili powder 2-3 tablespoon of yoghurt 2 cloves 5 pcs of cardamoms Vegetable oil Salt
May Serve 4 but depends
How we do that
1. Take 300 gm boneless chicken and cut them in big cubes.
2. Marinade the chicken with 2 teaspoon garlic paste, 1 teaspoon ginger paste and little salt, marinade for 1 hour .
3. Take non-stick wok heat 4 tablespoon of vegetable oil, then put 2 ground onion (onion paste), 1.5 teaspoon red chili powder, salt to taste and fry till oil comes out of the onion.
4. Put the marinated chicken into the wok (step 3) and fry till it become tender, add water if spices sticks to the bottom of the wok. Add 2-3 tablespoon of yoghurt into the wok and fry for few mins .
5. Put 1 cup of water into the wok (step 4) and bring it boil for 5mins and close the cover of the wok.
6. When the gravy reaches to the thick consistency, sprinkle clove and cardamoms powder (blend it in a grinder 2 cloves and 5 pcs of cardamoms). Ok? Enjoy that.

That sounds just scrumptious. I wish I knew more about spices and herbs, but I am learning.

Oh yummy! That sounds delicious and it also appears to be an easy dish to make. I shall certainly try that next week. I hope everyone on this forum has a pestle and mortar in their kitchen! Jyoti ~ would that be green cardamons? Yes spindrift it is green cardamom indeed.

Please, Jyoti, can you tell us how to make Butter Chicken? I've heard a lot about it but never eaten it in India. This one is a typical dish found mostly in Delhi and Punjab. You haven't eaten it because you might not have spent much time in north, but you didn't miss much. Any way I will post the recipe as you desired.
