I don't like fruit loops either. The one surgery cereal that I never grew out of is 'Sugar puffs' or 'honey puffs' as they are sometimes called. I just love 'em. I've been guilty of buying fruit loops and other chocolaty flavored cereals like Nesquick for my kids before. It seems if I ever took them shopping with me, I'd come back with a whole bunch of junk food. i have that problem with hazel

since i don't eat until about ten in the morning, my breakfast is usually lunch. my favorite breakfast is oatmeal with peanut butter in it, and peanut butter sandwiches. by the time i'm ready to eat in the morning, i have already had four or five pots of coffee, so no coffee for breakfast

Once a week we have brunch and agree iamjumbo it is great. Fried eggs, sausages or bacon. All the things that aren't good for you. Why are they so delicious?

I'd like to know that too, toetapping! Once in a while it's fine methinks.
IaJ, Nowadays I mostly go shopping alone, I SO much prefer it that way. I can buy the healthier cereal and foods. My son eats it's anyway. I've had quite a bit of trouble trying to change his eating habits to a more healthier way. It's took a lot longer than with my other two boys. Probably because this one is much more spolit.

Why are they so delicious? too often, we go to shoneys, which has a buffet. i seldom let hazel get the buffet because she don't eat enough to make it worthwhile. i eat three or four plates, as full as i can get them, of all the stuff i shouldn't be eating. of course, when i do that, it is the only time i eat that day

The technical answer to your question is probably the amino acids that trigger the unami (savory) taste buds. It's been shown in the more recent science that all those things are not nearly as bad for people as originally thought as it relates to heart disease....weight is another matter. IamJumbo's trips to Shoney's sounds like a liberal politician visiting the treasury, except they come back for lunch, snacks and dinner.

Never have I eaten breakfast, even as a kid. Closer to Noon before I 'break my fast". But coffee immediately upon waking.

Chee-zits and Pepsi for breakfast? The M&M cookies sound good though. I hope you dipped in some nice creamy, sweet coffee. (that's what I do).

Or republicans outspending democrats at Strip Clubs...those nasty little born again. www.theblaze.com/blog/2012/07/27/republican-democrats-convention-strip-club/The New York Times is running another story on this with a new bit of information:
Angelina Spencer, the executive director of the Association of Club Executives, which serves as a trade association for strip clubs, said an informal survey of convention business in New York and Denver had determined that Republicans dropped more money at clubs, by far.
“Hands down, it was Republicans,” she said.“The average was $150 for Republicans and $50 for Democrats.”Family values?

That was a very healthy breakfast, toetapping. I agree once in while it's okay to eat the wrong for us kind of foods. But the difference is now I realize I'm doing it.
