I mean after the horrible life they had as Royality it's a step up, right? Oh and the kids could go have a good life living at the Palace.

YAWN! This is the USA and here it's primarily a woman thing. Do men REALLY care about english royalty?

The Royals are forever fascinating. Many Brits idolize them, and think of them as Gods. They can do no wrong in some people's eyes.

But they have done a lot of things are wrong or just plain unsavory. I for one am glad that at least some of them are being called out for it.

And yes, I have seen the whole Royal family in real life. I accidentally was standard on an Island on a major road in London (where I used to work) and they all went past just a couple of feet away from me. I had no idea they were even coming and was just crossing the road without thinking. I remember Princess Anne seemed to be taking the piss out of the rows of people waiting for them to pass. She was laughing her head off. Princess Diana was sitting next to her at the time.

I enjoy the Royals. The Queen always made me smile. She was a tough old bird that embraced her job. I never really followed Charles or Diana really other than her death really. But I did admire William and Harry. I lost ALL respect for Harry when he turned on his family. Yeah you can have issues with your family but you don't go public for the sole purpose of making money. His wife... I won't even go there.

I think William and his family are exactly what the Queen would have hoped for.

I am not really sure how I feel about the Monarchy. On one hand, I am American and we left that behind. We don't subscribe to notions of "royal blood" nor think they should have riches and power as a result.

On the other hand, my mom and I took a trip to England together one summer while I was in college. So we did see a lot of England and it was fascinating to see a country with such rich history versus America which was only a 200+yrs old. I mean seeing the grandeur of St Paul's Cathedral and the castles and realizing these things are centuries old like Westminster Abbey , it's all very intriguing.

And, in a way, the Royals display a lot of pomp and circumstance which their citizens get to enjoy. Whereas over here our richie rich people aren't putting a show on for any of us so at least they are getting something of value in a way.

I'm a proud monarchist. I've never met any of them in real life but Mike has met Prince Philip and the king (when he was still Prince Charles) on separate occasions.

Harry and Meghan are narcissistic self-obsessed liars (maybe they should go into politics?)

And thank God William and Kate will inherit because if it was the other two God help us!
