Ya know I bought an Monkees CD and actually they sang pretty darn good, very catchy tunes, but funny they did not last long. They say the Beatles are/were the best music group of all time but actually they didn't last long only 7 years and they were done, the Rolling Stones are still around I think they were rated #3 as best music group I forgot who was #2. Basically The Monkees only lasted two years 1966 & 1967 and just fizzled away.

I noticed in stores the Beatles records and CD's are some of the most expensive recordings to buy, I never really cared for them that much past the first two albums, after that the Beatles got into drugs in the mid-1960's and the music was not to my liking. By 1970 the group had busted up anyhow. There was always a talk of a re-union concert hoping it'll happen one day then John Lennon died in 1980 and that ended any talk of a Beatles re-union concert.

The early 60's featured many "girlie groups" BTW the drummer on "The HoneyCombs" was one of the first female rock drummers, she was very good in the song "Have I The Right" from 1964. Her name was Miss Honey Lantree She was born in 1943 and died in 2018 at the age of 75 from breast carcinoma. I think the group may of got their name from her name of "Honey" and they added "Comb"."Have I The Right" is a song I still like, they made that loud pounding sound not by drumps but my stamping their feet on a platform with a microphone under it.

That's the lovely Miss Honey Lantree on the drums one of the first female drummers of a rock band. Playing that song cranked up loud with full bass on a powerful record player can rattle the windows.

Ya know the Monekees sang some good songs, they didn't last long as a group but I read an article that the song "Randy Scouse Git" is a slur song and it's a nasty word in the UK, in some places they had to change the title of the song.
