you flunked math, didn't ya? I'll have you know I'm very good at math. In fact Jethro Bodine and I both got certificates for excellent cyphering when we graduated in grade six. Gary Puckett & The Union Gap - Young Girl (1968)

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap - Young Girl (1968) was either just ending freshman year or just starting sophomore year of college... cypher away!

Elvis Presley once said that Tom Jones was the only other singer he really admired.

When Elvis was looking for a place to record his music he was asked what kind of music do ya do? he said he does a bit a everything. I never liked the guy or his music, I will say there are only two songs he did that I do like- One is "Suspicious Minds" from 1969 the lyrics in it are good--I like the part that goes "So I meet an old friend I stop to say 'hello' and I see suspicion in your eyes, here we go again ask me where I been..." The other song I liked is "It's now or never" from 1961. Elvis has now been dead longer than he lived.

The Supremes sang a good song in 1967 called "The Happening" it seems like it'll be a hard song to sing it goes so fast & rapid.
Jay & The Americans sang a good song --at least a song I liked--"Sunday & Me" about a chick named "Sunday".

sauerkraut, this takes me right back to senior year of HS! Yep that's a very catchy tune, and it seems like it was pretty hard to sing it just right, with the timing & all- They sang that song on the Ed Sullivan show, actually the Ed Sullivan show now gives us many rare videos of groups singing because back then music videos were rare. There are some performances where the only video recording of the song is from the Ed Sullivan show. In 1967 I was in the 7th grade.

One thing that I find interesting is it's OK to record on your VCR a TV movie, but if you buy that same movie and make a copy of it for yourself it's illegal- When I was a kid I used to record songs I liked off the radio on my tape recorder and I saved spending 66 cents for the 45rpm record at K-Mart. I guess that was legal -- but it's illegal to buy a 45 rpm record and then tape record that. When you got tired of the song you recorded off the radio you could just erase it.

That's because the TV stations and radio stations have to pay the royalties before they can play it to the public. Even the roller rink I volunteer at has to pay royalties for being able to play music for paying customers. Couple thoisand a year.

I liked the old Elvis, but not the one he was last. He was gaudy, obnoxious. All those stupid costumes, glasses, jewelry, overgrown outrageous sideburns ...

I go my saloon a couple nights a week and they stopped having music for that very reason. They have to pay royalities for any bands that come. Wasn't worth it financially for them hence no music

I can have an opinion, has nothing to do with jealous. Act your age.
