That's because the TV stations and radio stations have to pay the royalties before they can play it to the public. Even the roller rink I volunteer at has to pay royalties for being able to play music for paying customers. Couple thoisand a year. All true! I go my saloon a couple nights a week and they stopped having music for that very reason. They have to pay royalities for any bands that come. Wasn't worth it financially for them hence no music I heard that a store cannot play music on a radio if it has more than one speaker- or something like that. |

I like 80's music best IMO the 80's had the best music of the 20th century, Blondie songs take me back to my youth the wild Friday & Saturday nights in Fort Worth, Texas and the night clubs, the chicks, the dancing, the dining, and hugging and kissing your chick. The Blondie song "Atomic" brings back memories of a hot Saturday afternoon driving around Fort Worth getting ready for the night clubs. I was working at Loma Plastics at the time and on Fridays everyone would make plans on where to go after work I worked 2nd shift 3:pm to 11:pm. Billy Bobs Texas was a popular spot I'm not much of a country dancer. I had a blast in the 1980's. Anyone remember Juice Newton and her "Angel of the Morning"? or "Queen Or Hearts", Kim Carnes "Bette Davis Eyes"? The Cheers night club in Arlington, Texas used to play Cyndi Laupers 1983 hit "Chicks Just wanna have fun" full blast they had a two deck dance floor but the music was so loud you could feel it inside your gut. Wish I could go back to the 80's.
The during the day back in the 80's I used to do alot running on the Trinity Jogging Trail in Fort Worth, I ran so much that my mother said if I don't cut back on my running I was going to be a criple by the time I'm 40, my mother never ran a day in her life and she had hip replacement surgery at age 62. The D/FW Metroplex is like one big city they have everything there the Fort Worth Science Museum has a dazzling planetarium they put on hour long shows. At the time it was top notch high tech. There are many fine restaurants all over the Metroplex.
