Gee just finished my loaf of 100% whole wheat. I usually make white bread but thought this would be good for a changed. Pulled a recipe and took me about 6 hrs to finish. Oh, and cooking tip 1035, make sure you oil the bread pan well, it's a lot harder to get out cleanly. Probably cuz I used molasses in it Those look really good. I like the shape of them.

Our oven has a bread proofing setting. Cool! Ive never heard of that. It is. It is a Samsung oven, with all sorts of bells and whistles. Even had Wi-Fi so you can set it from afar, but we don't use that.

my wife invented this.. get an onion soup bowl that can take the over temp.
cut the top off a big tomato..or cut and use smaller tomatos.
put in the bowl with a sprinkling of oil...i use safflower oil.
salt and pepper the tomato
cook in a 400 degree over till the tomato get easy to poke with a fork.
take it out and ad a big blob of Mozzarella cheese on top of it.
then back in the over till the cheese melts and starts to brown some.
then take it out and enjoy .

Have a lot of potatoes? Dice and blanch them in boiling water for a minute or so. Place on wax paper lined sheets and freeze. Once completely frozen put into bags the proportion of our meals without waste.
You can do the same with avocadoes. Peel and slice (don't blanch obviously). Lay them on a sheet pan with wax paper and freeze. The put in resealable bags for use in Guacamole and other dishes.

I used to make potato salad, and found I could NOT store the cut up potato in the fridge for any time. They had to go right into the mayo, or they'd turn black,

I used to cook for my family, so I knew things then, but it's been some years and I no longer make the effort just for myself. It's all sandwiches and frozen dinners, pizzas and cans now! LOL
